Outpatient Rehabilitation

Physical, occupational and speech therapy services – for the adult population and, in a separate and specialized program, for children -- are provided at Stamford Hospital’s Tully Health Center located on Strawberry Hill Court.

Our Pediatric Rehabilitation Program is staffed by specialists, dedicated to working with children, who utilize the pediatric “playroom” so kids can have fun while learning to master their environment. The therapeutic warm water pool in Tully's Health & Fitness Institute is utilized for both adults and children for aquatic therapy. A rehabilitation psychologist provides testing and counseling services for patients who need help in coping with traumatic injuries, physical disabilities or chronic pain.

Specialized programs run by skilled, specially trained staff include Lymphedema Management (the utilization of manual therapy, bandaging, skin care and education to minimize the effects of swelling of body parts due to complications of surgery, infection, or trauma) and Pulmonary Rehabilitation (education, exercise and counseling for people who have pulmonary disease).
